Hi all,

I made a significant change to Github  today and archived Jam repo :
https://github.com/jam-py-v5/jam-py

This is because we completely missed the fact a year ago that our forked Jam will NOT
be searchable and will NOT result in any search due to Github policy!

So of course, people could not find Jam v7 on Github.
This is what I am hoping to change, so the new Jam repo is here:

May I ask to help Jam with click on "Starred" or Watch or even a Fork please?

Many thanks

D.

Why not just bite the bullet and a rename/rebrand to like Jam-py-NG or something, just to make it clearly stand out as unique and a continuation?   Plus when you get to a new version, it will even be more confusing for many.   While those of us who have been around, we understand, not sure the average person would get it and bother to come around for details.

Just my 2 cents.

( so this issue was not related to the dude going around asking everyone to kill their fork of the original then.. )

You mean me as that dude?

That is Andrews thoughts and we need to respect it.
Any rebranding needs to come from him, he is the sole copyright holder.

You did not fork the original.
You forked jam-py-v5/jam-py, and that is forked jam.
Hence, you forked a fork.

If you posted anything, and that was deleted here somehow, the email would STILL arrive to everyone in the thread.
No emails arrived at all. Simple as that.
Ask google why and stop blaming others.

Sorry for the late reply, but I found the repository naming a bit confusing. The repository name is jam-py-v7 and the account name is jam-py-v5.
What do you guys think?
