Hi all,

there is a chance Jam could be represented by a speaker on the
International Forum in August.

Here is a part of email from the Forum organiser George Hepworth:

"So, the general approach I want to take is to have two or three developers like yourself talk about the reasons they, or the organization for which they work, found it necessary to seek alternatives to Access. Also a brief summary of the choices they have made or plan to make.

I don’t want to turn it into an Access bashing session, although there are plenty of people who do so. Rather, I think the adage that you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar should guide the discussion. What’s positive about selecting other development platforms either to replace or augment Access. Tom, for example, primarily develops in .Net, although he is one of the best Access developers I know. He does both, for different reasons.

I’m thinking August for this session, although it depends partly on how else commits and their schedules.

Perhaps you could join us today for Kent Gorrell’s session if you’d like to get a feel for the format and group dynamics of our Access User Group

"

This is a massive opportunity for Jam.

Is anyone interested?

Thanks in advance!

Hi all,

this is getting traction!  The member of the Microsoft User Group, Kent Gorrell, will review Jam!
Kent is very well known and has over 30 years of development under his belt.

It was mentioned that some Jam clients use Jam in a completely "air gapped" environment,
and it was important to them that the software source code can be reviewed line by line.

Jolly good! :)
