Just a quick reminder that Ishtar is opening for PhatManDee and her band *this* Friday at 11PM at the Ava Lounge – 126 South Highland Ave. Cover is $7.00. PhatManDee will be performing unique jazz songs with Colter Harper, Tony DiPaolo and Nick Ragheb. The last set of the night will combine forces of both bands. Hear PhatManDee sing in Turkish!
Also our friend Nick Ragheb has returned to Pittsburgh after living in Istanbul for nearly a year. On October 7, he will be teaching a workshop about Turkish music, classical Turkish drumming and darabuka technique. The workshop will be at Your Inner Vagabond Coffee Shop. Ishtar heads to DC for Balktoberfest and the Turkish Festival on October 13 & 14.

Ishtar is taking a hiatus from playing at Murphy’s Tap Room until football season is over. We will return to our regular schedule there in January.
