Jalsah Pittsburgh VI and upcoming workshops

Hello Jalsah fans & participants!

Jalsah Pittsburgh VI will be held on Saturday December 8 at its new home, Your Inner Vagabond! (4130 Butler St in Lawrenceville) YIV is a true world cafe and lounge providing a large comfortable space for playing music, dancing or simply chilling out. Raquy Danziger of Raquy and the Cavemen will be teaching a darbuka workshop on Friday November 23 at 6PM at Your Inner Vagabond. $20 for workshop. $10 for show only. Also featuring the music of Ishtar.

Melissa of Ishtar will be teaching a Middle Eastern Ensemble Workshop on Sunday December 2 at 2PM at Your Inner Vagabond. $5 donation. This inexpensive workshop is to help everyone prepare for the upcoming Jalsah. The goal for this workshop is to enable all percussionists and melody musicians to play common songs together. All instruments are welcome, as this music can be played on any instrument.

On Saturday December 8, Carmine Guida of Djinn (NYC) will be teaching a darbuka workshop at Your Inner Vagabond at 4PM. $10 fee.

Jalsah Pittsburgh VI on Saturday December 8!  Jalsah: the ultimate bellydance community participation event happens at Your Inner Vagabond at 8PM. Bring your drum, tambourine, claves, flute, clarinet, saxophone, guitar, harmonica...whatever you got...and join in with the band!  Dancers bring your hipscarf and dance the night away!

$7 advance tickets thru www.jalsah.org  $10 at the door. All ages event, BYOB. Snacks and nonalcoholic drinks provided by YIV.
