Hello,
I programmed an old circuit with an atmega 328 earlier with pony-prog. I have now lost the programming print where I put the atmega and could load the hex file via the serial cable.
I now saw that Mplab also has the atmega series in its devices. Of course, there are a few things to work with Mplab. Does anyone know how and what?

Thanks Vasi. I understand that I need a pickit 4 and those things are not cheap to do something for once. It is not an arduino program and somewhere I read that it would be possible to do it with an arduino. ??????

You can program ATmega and ATtiny's with an Arduino UNO board. And PIC's too, from the new families of PIC18F and PIC16F

Great Cow Basic can program AVR's. if C language is a burden... or you can use LunaAVR

Hello Vasi,
I tried to get the one Arduino I have (almost unemployed) to work with your instructions, but I don't know the Arduino environment at all. I found schematics of programmers on the Lancos site and made one on my breadboard and got the Atmel working again with the old Pony-prog.
