Hi Sunish,

I've been using Windows for months now (back from Linux) and am using JalEdit, great. I was wondering if it's possible to generate a JalEdit package pre-configured for Jaluino usage. Can I do this myself or do I need your help ?

thanks

Hello Seb,
I'm honoured to know that you are using jaledit. :-)

Yes it should be possible, I have just updated JALPack with  the new compiler and jallib, jaledit is yet to be updated.

If my understanding is right, the only difference between jal pack and jaluino is in the additional library files and boot loader. Or is there something else that  I'm missing ? I currently package everything using innosetup compiler. Download jallib pack and extract everything to a folder and run certain batch files with the innosetup ide to generate the package. Will put it all to svn soon.

I think Jaledit has a configuration file or ini file. Maybe you can
use this to pre-configure jaledit through a setup program. I'll let
Sunish confirm.

Matt.

Yes, thjat's roughly the idea. There are different bootloaders and different ways to compile to hex, but Jaledit can handle only one setup in configuration, is that right ? not an issue anyway, user rarely switch.

OK, great, thanks

Hi Sunish,

I've configured JalEdit so I can use it program my Bee board with PDFUSB bootloader. For the record, preferences go like these (assuming python libs installed for python2.5):

Programmer tab:

Programmer executable path:
C:\Python25\python.exe

Commandline parameter:
"C:\Documents and Settings\SirLoon\Bureau\jaluino\3rdparty\jallib_svn\project\pic18f14k50_usb_io\bootloader\host_bootloader_application\UsbBootLoader.py" -x write %F

having jaluino SVN checkout on my Windows desktop ("Bureau").

Works like a charm.

cheers
seb
