Hi,

I took inspiration from Jakarta EE starter to create https://start.flowlogix.com

This starter concentrates on delivering a full featured out-of-the box experience including:

- JAR/WAR/EAR support
- Checkstyle support
- TestContainers support
- Arquillian, Selenium, Drone / Graphene support
- PrimeFaces and OmniFaces support
- Apache Shiro security support
- Much, much more

This is all pre-configured, "works out-of-the-box", and yet the maven POMs are single page and (very) readable.
All of the above options are also very well integrated with each other.

Starter currently supports Payara only, but other runtime modules can very easily be added, and not tied to Payara in any way.

I would like to donate this to the Jakarta EE starter, if you are interested.

The Jakarta EE Starter has long had defined scope and a prioritized roadmap based on extensive discussion and project committer consensus. Exploring here should provide of a pretty good idea of what that is: https://github.com/eclipse-ee4j/starter/issues.

In accordance with this, I’ve already shared our immediate priorities: adding Helidon and EE 11 Web Profile. Contributions towards any of this is always welcome. Changes in priorities or scope are unfortunately very highly unlikely at this stage.

That’s not to say there isn’t room for other parallel efforts. For example, vendors tend to have their own starters focused on their runtimes and use cases.
