Folks,

I just did a minor release for Cargo Tracker: https://github.com/eclipse-ee4j/cargotracker/releases/tag/v2.2.  This is basically the last Jakarta EE 8/Payara 5 release in preparation for a move to Jakarta EE 10. Now that Payara 6 is released, the time is right and I think even Arquillian/JUnit 5 is supported.

I wanted to check if anyone wants to contribute the move to Jakarta EE 10. It should be pretty straightforward and a valuable contribution. As such, there isn’t any need to really incorporate Jakarta EE 10 features, mostly just a namespace, dependency, etc upgrade.

Can you please let me know if you are interested? If not, I’ll begin the work soon.

Cheers,
Reza

I think it’s very simple - just issue a PR with the changes? You just need the ECA signed.

If you need it, we can schedule a one-on-one to get you started.

I forgot to mention, the work is done to some extent here: https://github.com/eclipse-ee4j/cargotracker/tree/jakartaee9. It is Jakarta EE 9, should be helpful in moving to 10 instead.

Great! I am working it out with Hantsy and Hillmer. You can probably follow the conversation here: https://github.com/eclipse-ee4j/cargotracker/issues/99. I will make sure to keep you posted, too. My guess is that it is sorted since I don't think it's actually that hard.

We do have other items in the backlog if any of that interests you: https://github.com/eclipse-ee4j/cargotracker/issues?

I just wanted to let you know that Hantsy Bai and I have started the work: https://github.com/eclipse-ee4j/cargotracker/pull/237. Help is still very much appreciated, if not anything else with testing/validation (I think the code changes are almost there). One other item we could consider is moving from @FlowScoped to @ClientWindowScoped once the initial migration is done.
