Happy Akshaya Tritya

Dear All,

Today is festival of Akshaya Tritya. I congratulate all of you a very happy and prosperous Akshaya Tritya.  In India this day is celebrated as the day of prosperity and buys gold and ornaments etc.

For Jains this is a very special day. We all remember our first  tirthankar Rsabha Dev. Bhagwan Rsabha Dev received sugar cane juice for the first time after his continuous fast for six months from the hands of prince shreyans kumar. It was a happy occasion and every year on the day of  Tritya of Baishak sudi we celebrate  by distributing the sugarcane juice/ cold drinks etc.
