Job Summary
We are building a mobile-first college sports fan engagement platform—a unified
experience delivering real-time scores, news, schedules, ticketing, and
merchandise for university sports programs.
We are seeking a React Native Mobile Front-End Developer who will own the
development of mobile features across iOS and Android, with strong experience
deploying and supporting applications on AWS. This role is heavily focused on
front-end mobile UI, while requiring solid understanding of APIs, database
schemas, and cloud-based architectures to ensure accurate, real-time data
delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Mobile Front-End Development (Primary Focus)
• Build and enhance mobile application features using React Native
• Develop reusable, high-performance UI components for iOS and Android
• Implement real-time updates (scores, notifications, live content)
• Optimize mobile UI for performance, responsiveness, and stability
AWS & Cloud-Based Development
• Deploy and support mobile application services using AWS
• Work with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, EC2, CloudWatch
• Assist with troubleshooting cloud-hosted application issues
• Ensure reliable performance for high-traffic, live event scenarios
Data & API Integration
• Integrate REST and/or GraphQL APIs into React Native components
• Parse and map complex datasets into mobile UI views
• Understand and work from database schemas to extract correct data fields
• Debug data flow issues across mobile app → API → database
Production Support & Collaboration
• Support a live, consumer-facing mobile application running 24/7
• Debug UI issues, crashes, and performance bottlenecks
• Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and offshore teams
• Contribute ideas to improve UI/UX, performance, and feature design

Required Qualifications (Must-Have)
Mobile Front-End
• Strong experience with React Native
• Proven experience building and shipping mobile applications (iOS &
Android)
• Solid understanding of mobile UI/UX best practices
• Experience implementing navigation, animations, and reusable components
Cloud & Infrastructure
• Hands-on experience deploying and supporting applications on AWS
• Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, S3,
CloudWatch
• Experience working with cloud-based, API-driven architectures
Data & APIs
• Experience integrating REST APIs (GraphQL a plus)
• Strong understanding of JSON, data mapping, and error handling
• Ability to read and understand database schemas
• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) or NoSQL databases

Nice-to-Have Skills
• Native mobile experience (Swift/SwiftUI or Kotlin/Jetpack Compose)
• Experience with real-time data (WebSockets, Firebase, live feeds)
• Experience in sports, media, or content-driven consumer apps
• Experience integrating Shopify or e-commerce APIs
• CI/CD experience for mobile or cloud deployments
