This new code (BIS SP 30) contains guidelines which can be immediately adopted for use. It is divided into eight parts, and covers all the latest developments in the power sector, the new laws, rules etc. Rs. 4480   4. National Lighting Code 2010 (SP : 72). By Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Govt. of India, new revision, 2010. This new code (BIS SP270) contains guidelines which can be immediately adopted for use. It covers the following : * guidance on illuminating engineering practices * guidance on good engineering practices to be followed in the design, selection, installation and maintenance of lighting systems for indoor and outdoor areas * matters related to the science of illumination such as physics of light, electric light sources, luminaries and photometry * Coordinationaspects to be considered while designing the lighting systems such as daylighting * aspects relating to energy management and energy conservation in lighting installations including guidelines for design and good practices to be adopted for effective and efficient use of light sources.
