Today we commemorate Pandit Bechardas Doshi, a distinguished scholar of Prakrit and Sanskrit, whose contributions to the study of Jaina and Buddhist canons remain invaluable.

Pandit Doshi was instrumental in editing and translating several important Jaina texts. Among his notable editions is the Sanmatitarkaprakaraṇa along with Abhayadevasūri’s commentary, prepared in collaboration with Pandit Sukhlal Sanghvi.
