श्रिया शक्त्या च सध्येऽर्थे सिद्ध्यभावे मनःक्लमः।
उभाभ्यामप्यसाध्ये  तु का नाम परिदेवना?॥

[श्रिया। शक्त्या। च। साध्ये। अर्थे। सिद्धि-अभावे। मनः-क्लमः।
उभाभ्याम्। अपि। असाध्ये। तु। का। नाम परिदेवना॥]

{śriyā śaktyā ca sadhye'rthe siddhyabhāve manaḥklamaḥ.
ubhābhyāmapyasādhye  tu kā nāma paridevanā?..
}

When a goal can be achieved through fortune or power and still remains unfulfilled, then mental anguish is understandable. But if the goal is unattainable even through both combined, what purpose does lamentation serve?
