उभाभ्यामप्यसाध्ये तु का नाम परिदेवना?॥

{śriyā śaktyā ca sadhye'rthe siddhyabhāve manaḥklamaḥ.
ubhābhyāmapyasādhye tu kā nāma paridevanā?..}
When a goal can be achieved through fortune or power and still remains unfulfilled, then mental anguish is understandable. But if the goal is unattainable even through both combined, what purpose does lamentation serve?
