श्रियो नाशं यान्तु व्रजतु निधनं गोत्रमखिलं शिरश्छेदो वाऽस्तु प्रभवतु समन्ताद्विपदपि।
विवेकार्कज्योतिर्विघटितमहामोहतमसः प्रतिज्ञातादर्थात्तदपि न चलन्त्येव कृतिनः॥

[श्रियः। नाशम्। यान्तु। व्रजतु। निधनम्। गोत्रम्। अखिलम्। शिरश्छेदः। वा। अस्तु। प्रभवतु। समन्ताद्। विपद्। अपि।
विवेका-ऽर्क-ज्योतिर्-विघटित-महा-मोह-तमसः। प्रतिज्ञाताद्। अर्थात्। तद्। अपि। न। चलन्ति। एव। कृतिनः॥]

(śriyo nāśaṃ yāntu vrajatu nidhanaṃ gotramakhilaṃ śiraśchedo vā'stu prabhavatu samantādvipadapi.
vivekārkajyotirvighaṭitamahāmohatamasaḥ pratijñātādarthāttadapi na calantyeva kṛtinaḥ..
)

Even if all their wealth is lost, their family and kin meet their inevitable end, their head is severed, or calamities surround them from every side, the wise men—whose delusion-like darkness has been dispelled by the sun of discernment—never swerve from their statement.
