2G scam: High court notice to CBI on Kanimozhi's plea

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday issued notice to the Central Bureau of
Investigation (CBI) on a plea by DMK MP Kanimozhi to quash charges
against her in the 2G spectrum allocation case.

Justice M.L. Mehta asked the CBI to file its response by May 10. DMK
MP Kanimozhi on March 23 had moved the high court seeking quashing of
charges. Her petition said: "Set aside/quash the charges and also

Friday acquitted Bibi Jagir Kaur in connection with her daughter
Harpreet Kaur's murder case.The court has convicted Bibi Jagir Kaur
for forcing her daughter to undergo an abortion.
Harpreet Kaur, 22, was allegedly poisoned to death on April 20, 2000,
after she married Kamaljit Singh against the wishes of her mother,
