As discussed will try and find out if Jeffrey’s is being upgraded.

 

Will keep pushing Municipality to clear fountain WWTW. This was the only way it was resolved last time, so I am sure it will be resolved in next few days, otherwise I will have to go to Jeffreys and see Municipality, but I think this will not be necessary.

I spoke to Daal the supervisor at Jeffries this morning, and he said contractors working on site dug a trench and diverted the sewage. They have now diverted the sewage back to the ponds, and the spill should now be stopped.

 

I will be down in Jeffries on Friday as Afriforum contacted me about problems on the caravan park etc.

 

I asked my colleague about Jeffries upgrade, he is still coming back to me. Though he mentioned a new WWTW is to be built at Jeffries.

 

I am now taking over the PE area and K area down to Tsitsikamma, and also P area to Port Alfred. As K area is new to me it will take a bit of time to get to know the area, but will be sampling and inspecting every other month. It will be very busy.

 

Will check Fountains WWTW when I am down in Jeffries on Friday to ensure Municipality has done a proper job of stopping the problem
