Ms. Williams,
Thank you for your question regarding Grimsley. GCS has never provided transportation for Spanish Immersion at Grimsley. With pending budget cuts that may discontinue transportation for other programs, it is unlikely that this one would be added for transportation. Please let me know if I can answer any additional questions.

Currently, I am still at Lincoln serving as principal. Therefore. I am not working in the capacity of Magnet Director. I have copied Kelly Hales in this email so that she can direct your question to the proper person.

Subject: Magnet Question for Spanish Immersion
Hi, Mr. Booner, I have a question in reference to the magnet for spanish immersin. Why is Grimsley High school not considered spanish immersion even though I was sold on the program conintinueing from Jones Elementary to Aycock Middle then Grimsely? I found out yesterday that if my daughter continues with this program which I was sold on 8-9 year ago, and have invested time in that she will NOT have transportation via the bus because Grimsley is not Spanish Immersion. I am very upset with this decision that Grimsley do not have two Magnet within the school the IB and the Spanish Immersion. I was told if she is IB then she will get transportation from the bus. Could you please help me to understand this poorly decision on someones behalf to isolate the spanish immersion students from bus transporation at Grimsley High. Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing back from you.
