Our heartiest greetings and felicitations to Holy Prophet Mohammad (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam), Imam ‘Alī ibn Abī Tālib (alayhi salām), Hazrat Fātimah (Salam ul Allāh alayha), Ahl-e-Bait (alayhimus salām), Imam-e-Zamana (‘ajjala Allāh Ta‘āla farajahu al-sharīf) & all lovers of Ahl-e-Bait (alayhimus salām) on this auspicious occasion of Death Anniversary of 'Yazīd ibn Mu‘āwiya ibn Abī Sufyān (la'natullahi alayha)
Holy Prophet Muhammad al Mustafā (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) saw Abu Sufyan riding a camel, his son, Yazid, leading the camel, and Muawiya following the camel.
Holy Prophet Muhammad al Mustafā (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) said:
"Allāh’s curse be on the rider, the leader leading the camel and the follower".

When Yazeed's son came to power he gave the speech:
'Khilafat is from Allah (swt). My grand father Mu'awiya bin Abu Sufyan fought for khilafat against that individual who was more entitled to it, that being 'Ali. He [Mu'awiya] performed actions that you are all aware of, and he is suffering in his grave for that. Then my father Yazeed became the khalifah even though he was not deserving of khilafat. He fought the grandson of Rasulullah (s) [Husayn (as)] and is suffering in the grave on account of his sins.' Mu'awiya bin Yazeed then proceeded to cry, 'It is a terrible thing that we are fully aware of Yazeed's bad deeds: he slaughtered the family of the Prophet (s), he deemed alcohol halal, and set fire to the Ka'aba. I don't need
this khilafat, you deal with it"

Ahle Sunnah scholars Amro bin Bahr al-Laythi (d. 255 H) popularly known as Al- Jahidh said:
"The evil deed which Yazeed committed by killing Hussain (as) and took the daughters of Allah's messenger as slaves and hit the lips of Hussain's (head) with the stick and scared the people of Madina and destroyed the Ka'aba, shows that he (Yazeed) was rough, stone hearted, Nasibi, possessed bad thoughts, venom, hatred, hypocrite, was out of the pale of faith, Fasiq and an accursed, and who ever forbid cursing the accursed is himself an accursed person."
