Last day of Zilhajj (1437AH)

Bismillah Arrahman Arraheem

As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatoh,

The last day of Zilhajj  is the last day in the Arabic calendar. Sayyid Ibn Tawoos in his book of Iqaab Al Amaal, says it is recommended to offer a two unit prayer on this day reciting Surah Fatihah once, and repeating each of Surah Tawheed and Ayat al Kursee ten times. After the salat , it is recommended to say the following

 

اَللَّهُمَّ مَا عَمِلْتُ فِي هٰذِهِ ٱلسَّنَةِ	Allahumma maa alimto fi hadhehi sanah
مِنْ عَمَلٍ نَهَيْتَنِي عَنْهُ وَلَمْ تَرْضَهُ	min amalin nahaytani anhu wa lam tardhah
وَنَسِيتُهُ وَلَمْ تَنْسَهُ	Wa naseetahu wa lam tansh
وَدَعَوْتَنِي إِلَىٰ ٱلتَّوْبَةِ بَعْدَ ٱجْتِرَائِي عَلَيْكَ	wa da’awtani ia tawbati ba’adaj tira’yi alaik
اَللَّهُمَّ فَإِنِّي اسْتَغْفِرُكَ مِنْهُ فَٱغْفِرْ لِي	Allahumma fa inni astaghfiruka minhu faghfirli
وَمَا عَمِلْتُ مِنْ عَمَلٍ يُقَرِّبُنِي إِلَيْكَ	wa maa amiltu min amalin yuqarribuni ilayk
فَٱقْبَلْهُ مِنِّي وَلاَ تَقْطَعْ رَجَائِي مِنْكَ يَا كَرِيمُ	faqbalhu minni wa laa taqta rajaai minka ya kareem

If these statements are said, Satan will say, “Woe to me! All the efforts that I have exerted throughout this year for misleading this person have been failed by the utterance of these statements.” Besides, one who says these words will be testified by the year that he sealed it in a good way.

The last day of Dhu’l-Hijjah is the last day in the Arabic calendar.

According to some narrations mentioned by Sayyid Ibn Tawus in his book of Iqbal al-A`mal, it is recommended to offer a two unit prayer on this day reciting Surah al-Fatihah once, and repeating each of Surah al-Tawhid and Ayah al-Kursi ten times each.

After accomplishment, it is recommended to say the following prayer:

اَللَّهُمَّ مَا عَمِلْتُ فِي هٰذِهِ ٱلسَّنَةِ 

مِنْ عَمَلٍ نَهَيْتَنِي عَنْهُ وَلَمْ تَرْضَهُ

وَنَسِيتُهُ وَلَمْ تَنْسَهُ 

وَدَعَوْتَنِي إِلَىٰ ٱلتَّوْبَةِ بَعْدَ ٱجْتِرَائِي عَلَيْكَ 

اَللَّهُمَّ فَإِنِّي أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ مِنْهُ فَٱغْفِرْ لِي 

وَمَا عَمِلْتُ مِنْ عَمَلٍ يُقَرِّبُنِي إِلَيْكَ 

فَٱقْبَلْهُ مِنِّي وَلاَ تَقْطَعْ رَجَائِي مِنْكَ يَا كَرِيمُ  

 

allahumma ma `amiltu fi hadhihi alssanati  , min `amalin nahaytani `anhu wa lam tardahu , wa nasituhu wa lam tansahu ,wa da`awtani ila alttawbati ba`da ijtira'i `alayka , allahumma fa'inni astaghfiruka minhu faghfir li , wa ma `amiltu min `amalin yuqarribuni ilayka ,faqbalhu minni wa la taqta` raja'i minka ya karimu.

TRANSLATION

O Allah, as for any act that I have done in this year , but You have warned me against doing it and You have been displeased with it, and You have called to repent after I have dared to challenge You, O Allah, I am now praying You to forgive it to me; so, (please) forgive me. As for any act that draws me near to You, (please) accept it from me and never cut off my hope in You, O All-generous!

If these statements are said, Satan will say, “Woe to me! All the efforts that I have exerted throughout this year for misleading this person have been failed by the utterance of these statements.” Besides, one who says these words will be testified by the year that he sealed it in a good way.
