In the name of Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Merciful

Salaamun Alaikum,

The Mumbai Jamaat will be having the Foundation Laying Ceremony of the Re-Development of Haji NazarAli Imambargah, Kurla, Mumbai on 25 August 2013.

The foundation of Nazar Ali Imambargah was laid by Haji NazarAli Devji in the year 1921. He purchased the land and constructed the structure of the imambargah (approximately 2,000 sq.ft.). The imambargah also consists of an open space of approximately 3,500 sq.ft. Haji NazarAli Devji further went on and formed the 'KSI Imambargah and Kabrastan Trust' on the 11th of August 1921. Since then regular socio-religious activities and programs, including daily Jamaat Namaaz, nikah ceremonies etc have been regularly conducted at the NazarAli Imambargah. The Jaffery Madressa was started in 1981 at Nazar Ali Imambargah with the support of Hamzabhai Devji Jamal.

Until 1987 the Imambargah and Trust continued to be managed by Hamzabhai Devji Jamal, the legal heir of late NazarAli Devji. Due to his failing health he could not continue to manage the Imambargah and Trust anymore and therefore he handed over the property and the Trust to Khoja Shia Ithna Ashari Jamat, Mumbai - which has been managing the Imambargah since then.

The Imambargah has only one hall of approximately 2,000 sq.ft, 4 toilets with no proper segregation between men and women, one kitchen and cleaning area where all the cooking is done. Due to a growing population in the area it was felt that a larger and more intelligently planned space is needed. For this the existing structure needs to be demolished and the imambargah needs to be reconstructed.

We are pleased to inform to you that the Khoja Shia IshnaAshari Jamat, Mumbai & The World Federation of the KSIMC, London are in the process of re-developing the Haji NazarAli Imambargah, Kurla, Mumbai.

The development will include:
1. Madressa and Imambargah for gents and ladies on different floors
2. Zaree/Rouza for gents and ladies on different floors
3. Kitchen and storage facilities for in house cooking
4. Office and Meeting room
5. More toilets and Wudhoo Khana for gents and ladies on different floors

KurlaThe Khoja Shia IshnaAsheri Jmaat, Mumbai and The World Federation of KSIMC would like to invite you for the Foundation Stone Laying ceremony for the Re-Development of the Haji Nazarali Imambada, Kurla Mumbai, 497,New Mill Road, Kurla (west) Mumbai 400070, on Sunday, the 25th of August  2013 at 11.00AM.
