As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatoh,

Abu Baseer from His Eminence Imām al-Sādiq (alayhi salām) that he (alayhi salām) said one day: “Shall I tell you of that which Allāh does not accept any act from His people except with it?” 

The narrator said: “Yes, please!”

 Imām Ja'far ibn Muhammad  al-Sādiq (alayhi salām) said

He said: “Witnessing that there is no god but Allāh and Muhammad is the messenger of Allāh, submitting to the orders of Allāh, believing in the guardianship of the infallible Imāms, submitting to them and disavowing their enemies, piety, sincerity of faith and waiting for the Qaaem (alayhi salām).

As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatoh,

Abu Basir asked  Imām Ja'far al-Sādiq (alayhi salām), the meaning of the following verse :

"Allah has promised to those of you who believe and do good that He will most certainly make them rulers in the earth as He made rulers those before them and that He will most certainly establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them and that He will most certainly, after their fear, give them security in exchange, (as) they serve Me (and) do not associate aught with Me..." [Nur : 55]

 Imām Ja'far ibn Muhammad  al-Sādiq  (alayhi salām) replied, 

 "This verse is revealed in connection with al'Qaem (alayhi salām) and his companions".

The above Quranic verse about the reappearance and uprising of Imam Mahdi  (alayhi salām)- the belief common to Ahle-Sunnat too - mentions four characteristics and aims of the universal rule of Hazrat Mahdi (alayhi salām)

1 The establishment of a Universal Government.

2 Absolute Power to the religion of Islam.

3 The atmosphere of complete security and peace.

4 The annihilation of polytheism (Shirk).

 "Those of our Shia who are wealthy should spend their wealth in the way of Allāh. When our Qa’em (alayhi salām) rises, the wealth of every wealthy person will be unlawful to him unless he offers it to our Qa’em (alayhi salām) to use it against his enemies, for Allāh says, “And to those who hoard gold and silver and do not spend it in Allāh’s way, announce the news of painful punishment” (9:34)

 Imām Ja'far ibn Muhammad  al-Sādiq (alayhi salām) said

“Safeguard your wealth, life and women with recitation of Surah Nur. One who recites it regularly everyday or every night none from his family will fall into trouble till he or she dies. When he dies 70,000 angels would accompany his bier upto the grave and all those angels would keep praying for him and seeking forgiveness for him till the reciter is laid down in the grave.”

‘‘Not to commit unlawful acts is a form of expressing thanks for a bounty. A complete expression of thankfulness is that one says, “All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds.’

“A lady from my children whose name will be Fatima, daughter of Mūsā, will die in Qum. On the Day of Judgement this lady will intercede for all my Shi`a to enter Heaven.”

 Imām Ja'far ibn Muhammad  al-Sādiq (alayhi salām) said

‘Shall I not inform of that without which the Almighty Allāh does not accept the deeds of the people? I said: Please tell me what that is? He said: It is the testimony to the oneness of  Allāh and prophethood of Muhammad and belief in the words of  Allāh and friendship towards us and aloofness from the enemies of us Imāms, and submission to them and sincerity and effort in religious matters and patience and awaiting for the reappearance of our Qaim.

Then he (alayhi salām) said: We are having a kingdom, when Allāh wills, He will bring it about. Then he (alayhi salām) added: One who is desirous to be among the helpers of our

Qaim should be waiting for his reappearance and should observe piety and follow good morals and pass his days in this way. If he dies in this condition and the Qaim appears after his death, he will be rewarded just as he had been alive. So make efforts and keep waiting. Glad tidings to you that the Almighty Allāh has surrounded you with His mercy.’

"It is written in the Torah, “O son of Adam, devote yourself to my worship and I will fill your heart with riches and will not leave you to your own quest. It is upon Me to meet your needs and fill your heart with fear from Me. If you do not devote yourself to My worship I will fill your heart with preoccupation in worldly matters, and then I will not meet your needs and will leave you up to your own pursuit.”

As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatoh,

 Imām Ja'far ibn Muhammad  al-Sādiq (alayhi salām) said

“On Judgment Day, Allāh the Almighty shall raise the days, and Friday shall be raised as leader of all of them like a bride, possessing all perfections and beauty, presented to the owner of religion and wealth. It shall stop at the door of Paradise with other days behind it, and will intercede for all those who sent more blessings on Hazrat Muhammad (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) and his holy progeny (alayhemus salām) in it.” Ibne Sinan says, ‘I said, How much is considered as more in it? And in which times of Friday is it best to send blessings and salutations?’   Imām (alayhi salām) said, ‘Hundred times. And the best time is after Asr.’ He asked, ‘And how should I say it?’ Imām (alayhi salām) replied, ‘Say a hundred times:

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّعَجِّلْ فَرَجَهُمْ

O Allāh, bless Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad and hasten their reappearance.."

‘A servant will never savour the taste of faith until he abandons lying, both in jest and earnestness.’

'When one of you brings joy to another believer, let him not see it as having only made him happy. Rather, by Allāh, he makes us happy, and by Allāh, he makes the Prophet  (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) happy too.’

Imām Hasan al-‘Askarī (alayhi salām) said:  

One who does not consider Ameerul Momineen (alayhi salām)  superior to all after Muhammad  (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam), has rejected Torah, Zaboor and Sohof-e-Ibrahim and all other divinely revealed scriptures because according to all the said scriptures the most essential thing after faith in Allāh’s Tauheed and prophethood of Muhammad (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) is to acknowledge the mastership of Ali  (alayhi salām) and his pure descendants (alayhimus salām).

‘‘If an act of courtesy is done unto you, then be sure to remember it, and if you do an act of courtesy unto someone else, then be sure to forget it."

"Never deem any act of common courtesy that you are able to carry out as insignificant in comparing it to a greater act, for verily the simple act performed when the need for it arises is more beneficial to its receptor than the great act for which there is no need. Perform for each day good acts that befit it and you will grow on the right course."

But I am afraid about every one from among you who is a hypocrite in his heart and eloquent of speech. He speaks what you hold to be good but does what you dislike

Amir al-Mu'minin Imām ‘Alī ibn Abī Tālib  (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَام) said:  

"If a praying person knew to what extent he was surrounded by His Mercy, he would never raise his head from (the state of) prostration.’"

Amir al-Mu'minin Imām ‘Alī ibn Abī Tālib  (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَام) said:  

"Avail yourselves of the  invocation in five situations: At the time of recitation of the Qur'an, at the  time of prayer call, when it is raining, when attending the Holy War ready for martyrdom, when an oppressed person supplicates, because,  certainly, there is no barrier for it beneath the Throne."

"The doors of heaven are opened at five times: When it is raining; at the time of Holy War; at the time of Call to prayer; at the time of  recitation of the Qur'an with the setting of the sun, and at the break of  dawn."
