As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatoh,

Imām Alī ibn Mūsā al-Rezā (alayhi salām)  said:

“O son of Shabeeb! If you desire that you may abide in the palaces of Paradise in the company of the Holy Prophet (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) and his Progeny, then invoke Allāh’s curse upon the murderers of Imām Husayn (alayhi salām).”

يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ, لَعَنَ اللّٰهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكُمْ 

O’ Aba ‘Abdillah! May the curse of Allāh be upon those people who killed you.

Imām Ja'far ibn Muhammad  al-Sādiq (alayhi salām) said:

“Allāh has appointed seventy thousand angels to pray at the grave of Imām Husain (alayhi salām). Each of their prayers equals a thousand prayers of a human being and the reward for their prayers is recorded for the Visitors of Imām Husain (alayhi salām) – may Allāh’s curse, curse of the angels and curse of all people be on those who martyred him.”

As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatoh,

Imām Ja'far ibn Muhammad  al-Sādiq (alayhi salām) said:

"Every day and night Allāh glances at the earth a hundred thousand times through which He forgives whomever He wants and punishes whomever He likes. Allāh specially forgives the visitors of Imām Husain (alayhi salām), their family members and those for whom they will intercede on Judgment Day, regardless of who they may be, even if they be of those upon whom Hell is decreed.

I (the narrator) asked, “Even if Hell is decreed forthem?”

 Imām  (alayhi salām) replied, “Yes, but they should not be Nasibi.”

As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatoh,

Imām Ja'far ibn Muhammad  al-Sādiq (alayhi salām) said:

"On Judgment Day, an announcer will announce, “Where are the Shia of Aale Muhammad  (alayhimus salām)?”

A group of people whose number cannot be counted except by the Almighty Allāh, will stand up and separate from the people.

Then an announcer will announce, “Where are the visitors of the grave of  Imām Husain (alayhi salām)  ?”

A large group of people will stand up. They will be told, “Take the hand of whoever you like and take him to Paradise with you.”

They will take whoever they like to Paradise to such an extent that a person will say to one of them, “O so and so! Don’t you remember me? I stood up for you once as a mark of respect.”

So the visitor will take him to Paradise without being stopped".

Imām Muhammad  ibn ‘Alī al-Baqir (alayhi salām) said:  

Imām Husain (alayhi salām) of Kerbala was slain while he was oppressed, distressed, thirsty and aggrieved. It is indeed fitting that every aggrieved, distressed, sinful, saddened, thirsty and ill person who goes to his Ziyarat and prays near his grave, seeks proximity to Allāh through him, will have his grief removed and  Allāh will fulfill his needs, forgive his sins, prolong his life and increase his sustenance. “So take a lesson, O those who have insight!”

Imām Muhammad ibn ‘Alī al-Baqir (alayhi salām) said:

"One who wants to know if he will be from the folks of Paradise or not should present our love to his heart. If his heart accepts them, then he is a believer. And one who loves us, should surely desire going to the Ziyarat of Imām Husain (alayhi salām).One who repeatedly performs the Ziyarat of Imām Husain (alayhi salām) is recognized by us as our lover and he will be among the folks of Paradise, whereas the faith of one who does not perform the Ziyarat of Imām Husain (alayhi salām) is incomplete".

"One who thinks he is a Shia but does not perform the Ziyarat of Imām  Husain (alayhi salām) before his death, is not our Shia and even if he is of those who enter Paradise, he will be treated as a visitor of the folks of Paradise".

"Those of our Shia who don’t perform the Ziyarat of  Imām  Husain (alayhi salām) lack in faith and their belief is incomplete. And even if they enter Paradise, their position will be lower than that of believers".

Imām al-Sādiq (alayhi salām) was asked about one who omits the Ziyarat of  Imām Husain (alayhi salām) for no reason.

Imām Ja'far ibn Muhammad  al-Sādiq (alayhi salām) said:

 “He will be from the folks of Hell.”

Imām  Alī an-Naqī   (alayhi salām) said:

One who leaves his home for the Ziyarat of  Imām Husain  (alayhi salām) and goes to Euphrates and performs Ghusl in it will be recorded by Allāh as one who has achieved salvation. And once he salutes  Imām Husain (alayhi salām) he will be recorded as the delivered one. After his prayers, an angel will come to him and say:

“Allāh's Messenger conveys peace on you and tells you that your sins have been forgiven and that you should begin again with good deeds.”

As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatoh,

Imām Ja'far ibn Muhammad  al-Sādiq (alayhi salām) said:

When a person sets out to perform the Ziyarat of  Imām Husain  (alayhi salām), seven hundred angels accompany him who will be above, under him, to his right, left, in front and behind him until he arrives at his destination. After he performs the Ziyarat of  Imām Husain   (alayhi salām), an announcer will announce, “You have been forgiven; so continue with good deeds.” These angels will accompany him back to his house. When they arrive at his house, they will say, “We leave you in Allāh’s protection.”

They will visit him continuously till his death. Then they will perform the Ziyarat of  Imām Husain (alayhi salām) everyday, the reward of which will be recorded for this person.

Imām Ja'far ibn Muhammad  al-Sādiq (alayhi salām) said:

The land of the Kaaba once said in pride, “Who is like me, Allāh  has built His house on me, people from far come to me and I have been chosen as Allāh’s sanctuary?”

 Allāh revealed to it: Keep quiet and calm down! I swear by My Glory and Magnificence that your honor compared to the honor which I have granted to the land of Kerbala is like a drop of water on a needle dipped in the sea. If it was not for the dust of Kerbala, I would not have honored you. If it was not for that which is held within the land of Kerbala, I would have not created you nor would I have created the house about which you boasted. Therefore, settle down, calm down and become humbled, lowly, humiliated, disgraced and degraded before the land of Kerbala. Do not be proud or arrogant before it or I will make you sink and throw you in Hellfires.

Imām Muhammad ibn ‘Alī al-Baqir (alayhi salām) said:  

Allāh, the blessed and exalted, created, blessed and sanctified the land of Kerbala twenty-four thousand years before He created the Kaaba. Hence it was blessed and sanctified before the creation of any created being and it will remain this way until Allāh raises it to Paradise and appoints it as the best land in Paradise. It will be the best abode in Paradise in which Allāh will make His friends abide.

Perform the Ziyarat of Kerbala and don’t omit it, for indeed the best of the sons of the prophets is buried in it. Indeed the angels went to the Ziyarat of Kerbala a thousand years before my grandfather,  Imām   Husain  (alayhi salām)   dwelled in it and not a night passes in which Jibraeel and Mikaeel do not go to his Ziyarat. O Yahya! Strive hard to go to that land.

"There is no greater difficulty for us than the Day of Karbala even though it was like the Day of Saqifah and the burning down the door on Ali –Ameerul Momineen (alayhi salām) and Fatima  (Salam ul Allāh alayha) and Hasan  (alayhi salām) and Husain (alayhi salām) and Zainab  (Salam ul Allāh alayha) and Umm Kulsum  (Salam ul Allāh alayha) and Fizza and the killing of Muhassin (Mohsin) (alayhi salām) with a kick is greater and more bitter because it laid the foundation for the Day".

لَعَنَ اللهُ قَاتِلِيْكِ يَا فَاطِمَةُ الزَّهْرَاء عَلَيْهَا السَّلَام

Holy Prophet Muhammad al Mustafā (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) informed Salmaan:

".... He with whom my daughter is pleased, will benefit from my pleasure, and he with whom, I am pleased will benefit from Allāh's Pleasure. And he with whom Fātemah is angry, will incur my wrath and he with whom I am angry will be a target of Allāh's Wrath. Most deplorable is the one who tyrannizes Fātemah (Salam ul Allāh alayha) or her husband Ameerul Momineen  (alayhi salām)  or her sons or their Shias"

As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatoh,

Holy Prophet Muhammad al Mustafā (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam)  curses the killers of Hazrat Fātemah (Salam ul Allāh alayha):

"O Allāh, curse the one who oppresses her and punish the one who usurps her property and humiliate the one who subdues her and consign in Your Fire forever the one who strikes her sides so much so that she loses her son! "

At this the angels pronounced: Amen!

 “Allāh, Angels and all men‘s curse be on one who deprive anything of my rights or anything which was given to my progeny or disregard my wilayat”.

As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatoh,

Imām Ja'far ibn Muhammad  al-Sādiq (alayhi salām) said:

“Whenever the name of Mohammad (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) is taken in front of you, then you should recite salawaat as much as possible because when some one recites one salawaat on Mohammad (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) then Allāh makes thousand rows of angels to recite thousand salawaat on the person. And there is no creature of Allāh but it recites salawaat on that person on whom Allāh and His angels recites salawaat. The person, who does not do so, is an arrogant and ignorant. And  Allāh, His Prophet and the Infallible Ahle Bait  (alayhimus salām) are far from such person.”

Imām Ja'far ibn Muhammad  al-Sādiq (alayhi salām) said:

Should I teach you a thing through which Allah, the Blessed, the High will protect your face from the heat of the hell? The narrator replied in affirmative. He  (alayhi salām)  said: Recite اللَّـهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وآلِ مُحَمَّد َ hundred times after the morning prayers. By doing so, Allah, the High will protect your face from the heat of the hell.”

  Holy Prophet Muhammad al Mustafā (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) said:

“If some one recites salawaat on me and does not recite salawaat on my progeny, then between him and the heavens there are seventy veils. Allāh, the High says to him, I am not listening to you and there is neither happiness nor good news for you. O My angels! Do not bring up his prayers except that he attaches himself to My Prophet and his progeny.” Then the veils will continue till he attaches himself to my Ahle Bait (alayhimus salām)".

  Holy Prophet Muhammad al Mustafā (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) said:

“One who writes my name in a book and writes salawaat on me after it, angels will seek forgiveness for him till the name remains in the book.”

As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatoh,

Imām Ja'far ibn Muhammad  al-Sādiq (alayhi salām) said:

“Whenever anyone of you prays and does not mention the Holy Prophet and his family in his prayer, his prayer will be taken to a direction other than that toward paradise. The Messenger of  Allāh has said, ‘If a person before whom my name is mentioned does not ask from Allāh,  Salwaat (favors) for me, he will enter the fire and Allāh will move him away.’ He also has said, ‘If a person, before whom my name is mentioned, forgets to ask from Allāh, Salwaat for me, he will get lost on the way of paradise.’”

As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatoh,

  Holy Prophet Muhammad al Mustafā (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) said:

 ‘A person feeding (himself) with gratitude (before Allāh) has a reward equal to the reward of a fasting person who brings himself to strict account. A person in good health who is grateful receives a reward equal to the reward of a person who suffers from an illness but exercises patience. A person who gives charity with gratitude receives a reward equal to the reward of a deprived person who is content.’

‘With the existence of three factors nothing can harm one. These factors include: prayer in difficulties, asking forgiveness in sins and thankfulness for bounties.’

‘‘If upon Allāh’s granting a favor to a servant he acknowledges it in his heart, and expresses thanks to Him in public, as soon as his words are completed, an order is issued to give the servant more."

“A person who has pride in his heart equal to even a small grain will not enter Paradise and a person who has faith in his heart equal to even a small grain will not enter Hell.” The narrator asked, “When a person wears good clothes and rides a mount, he feels proud.”  Imām (alayhi salām)   replied, “This is not pride. Pride means to reject the truth and faith means to accept it.”

Do not consider any bad deed small because you will see tomorrow that it will cause you pain. The Almighty Allāh has said, ‘Surely good deeds wipe out sins and this is to be remembered’.”

Forty thousand of them are from the wicked ones, and sixty thousand of them are from the good people.” Shu'aib (alayhi salām) asked: “You punish the bad people. Why are the good people punished?”  Allāh the Almighty revealed to him: “They are the people who got along with the sinners, and were not worried about My Anger.”

‘People’ s deeds are exposed [to me] every Monday and Thursday. The deeds of one who seeks forgiveness are forgiven to him, and those of the repentant are pardoned, whilst the deeds of those who harbour rancour are returned to them because of their rancour until they repent for them.’

"When Allāh created Adam and Hawwa, they started taking pride in being more beautiful than others. In the meanwhile, they sighted another woman, whose face was extremely beautiful and luminous. It was difficult for them to fix their gaze on her radiance. Adam and Hawwa then asked to  Allāh   – Who is this woman?

Allāh  revealed: This is Faatemah (Salam ul Allāh alayha), who is superior to all women in your progeny.

Adam asked: O  Allāh  ! How it is that she is wearing a crown.

Allāh  informed: That is her husband Ali (alayhi salām).

Adam asked: What are those two earrings?

Allāh  informed: Those are her two sons.

Fātimah Zahra (Salam ul Allāh alayha) addressing the Muslims (Ansar) in the Sermon of Fadak:

Is the inheritance of my father usurped while you hear and see me?! And you are in your meetings and gatherings around me? You hear my call, and the affair includes you though you are numerous and well equipped with power and good shield?!

The call reaches you but you do not respond, and the cry comes to you but you do not help? You do this while you are qualified.

O’ Aba ‘Abdillah! May the curse of Allāh be upon those people who killed you.

 Allāh revealed to it: Keep quiet and calm down! I swear by My Glory and Magnificence that your honor compared to the honor which I have granted to the land of Kerbala is like a drop of water on a needle dipped in the sea. If it was not for the dust of Kerbala, I would not have honored you. If it was not for that which is held within the land of Kerbala, I would have not created you nor would I have created the house about which you boasted. Therefore, settle down, calm down and become humbled, lowly, humiliated, disgraced and degraded before the land of Kerbala. Do not be proud or arrogant before it or I will make you sink and throw you in Hellfires.

"O Allāh, curse the one who oppresses her and punish the one who usurps her property and humiliate the one who subdues her and consign in Your Fire forever the one who strikes her sides so much so that she loses her son! "

"There is no greater difficulty for us than the Day of Karbala even though it was like the Day of Saqifah and the burning down the door on Ali –Ameerul Momineen (alayhi salām) and Fatima  (Salam ul Allāh alayha) and Hasan  (alayhi salām) and Husain (alayhi salām) and Zainab  (Salam ul Allāh alayha) and Umm Kulsum  (Salam ul Allāh alayha) and Fizza and the killing of Muhassin (Mohsin) (alayhi salām) with a kick is greater and more bitter because it laid the foundation for the Day".

“Whenever the name of Mohammad (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) is taken in front of you, then you should recite salawaat as much as possible because when some one recites one salawaat on Mohammad (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) then Allāh makes thousand rows of angels to recite thousand salawaat on the person. And there is no creature of Allāh but it recites salawaat on that person on whom Allāh and His angels recites salawaat. The person, who does not do so, is an arrogant and ignorant. And  Allāh, His Prophet and the Infallible Ahle Bait  (alayhimus salām) are far from such person.”

'He who visits his brother for the sake of Allāh and for His pleasure will be raised on the Day of Resurrection walking straddled by two cloths of light, and illuminating thereby anything that he passes.'

 Imam Ali Raza (alayhi salām) to a four-year old Imam Jawad (alayhi salām), who was deep in thought:

What are you thinking about?

Imam Jawad (alayhi salām): I am thinking about the sufferings that befell my mother, Fatima (Salam ul Allāh alayha). By Allah (Subhanahu wa Taʿālā) I will bring out those two men from their graves and burn them and then scatter their ashes into the seas.

At this Imam Ali Raza (alayhi salām) remarked: May my parents be your ransom! You are worthy for this affair (Imamat).

"Those who want to live and die like me and enter Paradise, and hold on to the tree that the Almighty Allāh has Himself planted, should love Ali  (alayhi salām)  and the successors after him and accept their merits. Because they are the favorite guides of Allāh. He has given them my knowledge and understanding. And they are my Ahle Bayt   (alayhimus salām)   from my flesh and blood. I will complain to Allāh about their enemies from my Ummah, about those who deny their merits, and about those who cut off relations by oppressing them. By Allah they will slay my son (Imam Hussain (alayhi salām)). May Allāh deprive them of my intercession"

As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatoh,

Holy Prophet Muhammad  al Mustafā (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) said:

If the son of Adam had a valley of gold, he would long for a second one, and if he had two valleys as such, he would long for a third, for his belly (hunger) will not be satisfied save by soil, and Allah will accept the repentance of whoever He wishes."

Imām Muhammad al-Baqir (alayhi salām) said:  

"If the faith of Abu Talib (alayhi salām) is put in one side of a scale and the faith of these people on the other, the faith of Abu Talib  (alayhi salām) will be preferred."

“Whoever does a good service to his fellow brother by deterring people from talking behind his back in a gathering where he hears them backbiting him, Allāh will repel from him a thousand types of evil in this world as well as in the Hereafter.”

When you speak, do not lie,

when you promise, do not break it,

when you are entrusted with something, do not betray,

lower your gazes,

guard your private parts,

restrain your hands and your tongues.”

“One who does not recite salawaat on us when we are remembered before him, then he will enter hell. And Allāh has no concern with him.”

Holy Prophet Muhammad  al Mustafā (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) said:

“I will stand near Mizan on the Day of Judgment. If I see a person whose sins are more than his good deeds I will keep the salutations (salawaat) recited on me by him in the pan of good deeds and make it tilt in his favor.”

"A Momin, when he dies and leaves one paper having knowledge upon it, on the Day of Judgment that paper would become a veil between him and the Fire, and Allah Blessed and Exalted would give him, with each letter written upon it, a city vaster than the world, seven times over’’.

 ‘Be warned against excessive food, for it poisons the heart with hardness, slows the limbs in performing acts of obedience, and blocks the souls from hearing counsel.”

As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatoh,

Holy Prophet Muhammad  al Mustafā (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) said:

 ‘Allah has bestowed upon Ali ibn Abi Talib (alayhi salām) immeasurable virtues. If someone mentions one of his virtues while believing in it, Allah will forgive all of his past and future sins. If someone writes one of his virtues, angels will seek forgiveness for him for as long as that written text continues to exist. If someone listens to one of his virtues, Allah will forgive all of the sins that he has committed using his ears. If someone reads a book about his virtues, Allah will forgive all of the sins that he has committed using his eyes. Looking at Ali ibn Abi Talib (alayhi salām) is ibadat (worship) of Allah, and mentioning him is ibadat (worship) of Allah. Allah does not accept the beliefs of anyone who does not accept the wilayat of Ali (alayhi salām), and who does not disassociate from his enemies..”

As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatoh,

I (Abayah bin Rab’ee) asked Abdullah bin Abbas, “Why did the Prophet (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) give Ali bin Abi Taleb (alayhi salām) the name, ‘Aba Toraab’ (Father of Dust)?”

Abdullah bin Abbas replied: Because Ali (alayhi salām) is the owner of earth and he is Allāh’s decisive argument after the Prophet. It is through him that the earth stays stable. I heard the 

Holy Prophet Muhammad  al Mustafā (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) say, 

‘On the Day of Judgement, when Kafer (disbelievers) see the rewards, the honour, and the status that Allāh has prepared for the Shia of Ali (alayhi salām) they will say to themselves, ‘Woe to me, Would that I were dust!’ (Surah 78: Ayat 40). This verse means that the Kafer (disbelievers) will wish that he was from amongst the Shia of Ali (alayhi salām).

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّعَجِّلْ فَرَجَهُمْ وَالْعَنْ أَعْدَائَهُمْ اَجْمَعِيْ

As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatoh,

Holy Prophet Muhammad  al Mustafā (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) said:

Those who want to cross Siraat (the bridge) like the speed of a strong gust of wind and enter Paradise without being questioned should follow my Wali, my heir, my friend, and my caliph on my family and on my nation: Ali bin Abi Taleb (alayhi salām). And those who want to enter Hell should follow anyone other than him.

I swear by the Magnificence and the Glory of my Lord that Ali (alayhi salām) is the door of  Allāh that leads to Him. Ali (alayhi salām) is  Allāh’s straight path, and it is the Wilayat of Ali (alayhi salām) about which Allāh will ask on the Day of Judgement.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّعَجِّلْ فَرَجَهُمْ وَالْعَنْ أَعْدَائَهُمْ اَجْمَعِيْ

Imām Alī ibn Mūsā al-Rezā (alayhi salām)  said:

“O son of Shabeeb! If you desire that you may abide in the palaces of Paradise in the company of the Holy Prophet (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) and his Progeny, then invoke Allāh’s curse upon the murderers of Imām Husayn (alayhi salām).”

يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ, لَعَنَ اللّٰهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكُمْ 

O’ Aba ‘Abdillah! May the curse of Allāh be upon those people who killed you.

 السَّلأمُ عَلَى الحُسَيْن، وَعَلَى عَليِّ بْنِ الحُسَيْنِ، وَعَلَى أوْلادِ الحُسَيْنِ، وَعَلَى أصْحابِ الحُسَينِ

As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatoh,

Holy Prophet Muhammad al Mustafā (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam)  curses the killers of Hazrat Fātemah (Salam ul Allāh alayha):

"O Allāh, curse the one who oppresses her and punish the one who usurps her property and humiliate the one who subdues her and consign in Your Fire forever the one who strikes her sides so much so that she loses her son! "

At this the angels pronounced: Amen!

As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatoh,

Imām Ja'far ibn Muhammad  al-Sādiq (alayhi salām) said:

“Whenever the name of Mohammad (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) is taken in front of you, then you should recite salawaat as much as possible because when some one recites one salawaat on Mohammad (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) then Allāh makes thousand rows of angels to recite thousand salawaat on the person. And there is no creature of Allāh but it recites salawaat on that person on whom Allāh and His angels recites salawaat. The person, who does not do so, is an arrogant and ignorant. And  Allāh, His Prophet and the Infallible Ahle Bait  (alayhimus salām) are far from such person.”
