Means to Get Sins Forgiven

Bismillah Arrahman Arraheem

As-salamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatoh,

Imām  Alī ibn Mūsā al-Rezā (alayhi salām) said:

 

"One who does not have any means to get his sins forgiven then he should recite Salwaat on Mohammad (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) and his progeny abundantly as it wipes out the sins.

" Then he (alayhi salām) said: Reciting Salwaat on Mohammad (salla llāhu ʿalayhi wa-alehe wa-sallam) and his progeny is like

 Tasbeeh سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ (reciting Subhanallah), 

Tahleel لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا الَّلهِ (reciting La Ilaha Illallah)

and Takbir اَللَّهُ اَكْبَرُ (reciting Allahu Akbar) near Allah, the High."

''The greatest of regrets on the Day of Resurrection will be the regret of a man who gained wealth through means of disobedience Allāh, which was then inherited by a man who spent it in the obedience of Allāh, glory be to Him; thus because of it [i.e. the same wealth] the latter entered Paradise whereas the former entered the Fire."

O Prophet! The trust (Fātema) that you had bestowed me with has been returned to you, but my sorrow has become everlasting. I will spend my nights, sleepless until I too am united with you. Very soon your daughter will relate to you how the nation united to oppress us, and you may ask her (how this occurred) when a very short period of time had elapsed after your passing such that your remembrance had not even been forgotten.

Reciting salutations on him is better than freeing a few slaves. It is better than sacrificing lives and fighting with a sword in the way of Allāh.”'
