Career Development Conference and Networking Event on April 6th, 2019

Salaam Alaikum Respected Brothers and Sisters,

 

This email is to remind you that Insha’Allah Idara-e-Jaferia is hosting its first Career Development Conference and Networking Event of the year on Saturday, April 6th, 2019 (10AM -2:30PM). The purpose of this event is to bring together students and professionals of our community under one roof and encourage them to network, make connections, and learn from one another. The target audience is high school and college students and graduates who are exploring and working towards different career paths (including non-traditional careers) as well as those who are looking for a career change. However, all students and professionals in the community are welcome to attend the event for the opportunity to network with each other and also to support these initiatives.

 

Workshop Agenda:

 

- Welcome

- Keynote presentation on LinkedIn profile/resume building

- Keynote presentation on US government jobs

- Break

- Field-specific breakout sessions, in which professionals from the community will share their experiences and provide career advice 

- Break (Refreshments/Salaat)

- Networking session
