Here is a brief update on the Shia Afghan orphan children that arrived in Northern Virginia last week. The children are still with immigration processing services. Although earlier reports noted that there were three children, we have confirmed that there are four children, three girls and one boy, between the ages of 6 and 17. Representatives from Husayn for Humanity will be visiting with the children in the next few days. We are hoping to give them some gifts, clothing, toys and other things they may need.
We have compiled a small Amazon gift list for the children and are asking you to help purchase some items for them. Any additional items in excess of these children’s needs will go to other Afghan refugee children. The gift list is here:
