I like the article; however, I have some concerns. I do not think we should be promoting OpenTracing right now, when OpenTelemetry is GA for tracing and metric use cases. Additionally, the use of Tempo with Jaeger is misleading as Tempo is not a supported backend. Very little of the post is about Jaeger, and instead is about the Grafana stack of technologies.
