Xbox Hornet has posted an article containing an interview with me. I divulge some details on the features of ASCII Quest. You can find the article here:

I decided to wait a couple weeks before sending him a preview build of the game, though. There will be another article next month when that happens. As always, I will post another update when the article goes up.

For those of you not following me on Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/jadevault), you may be pleased to know that due to popular demand, ASCII Quest will support ANSI-style box drawing. For those of you who don't know what this means, here's a brief explanation. With old-school ASCII box drawing, rooms and menus in the game look like this:

#####  +---+
#.#.#  |   |
#...#  +---+
#####  |   |
       |   |
       +---+

With ANSI box drawing, they will look like this instead:

┌─┬─┐  ╔═══╗
│.│.│  ║   ║
│...│  ╟───╢
└───┘  ║   ║
       ║   ║
       ╚═══╝

Just in case some of you are ASCII purists, there will be an option in the menu to turn this setting off. ANSI box drawing will be enabled by default, since it looks nicer to most people.
