"For all practical purposes the job is done. This trip is for my friend Bug, and to appease my curiosity." Replies Daergast.

The mounted group makes its way back to Sandpoint, with no more goblin ears but with a shiny new old chest full of treasure. Shan suggests going immediately to the Rusty Dragon, as he wants Ameiko to have the note. Later he plans to "go dig up" some gold to give you in lieu of your share of the valuable sword. Then he'll either go to the smithy Korvut to have the sword repaired, or go elsewhere. He doesn't like or trust Korvut, and with a magical sword of such fine quality...

"Not certain if its his fate, genes, or life experiences that predicate his actions. I'm gonna try to appease the little fella, as we really have need of him. Those skeletons would of reduced us all to corpses had we not had The Bug."
Regarding the letter, Bug knows that an unknown scourge destroyed the colony of Brinewall on the first day of Sarenith in 4687, just a few days after the date on the letter.
Ameiko reads the letter, sitting in the Rusty Dragon, and shakes her head. Though it is about her family and some tragic events they suffered, she does not cry. Instead, she seems fascinated, reading it silently again and again. She hides the letter and stays up late, and thanks you all for finding it. She offers you all free rooms and meals (but she doesn't say for how long), and produces free snacks for everyone in the tavern.
When Daergast makes it back to the tavern. He inquires about the reward and indulges in Snacks of course. He gathers no one grabbed theirs and he and Bug and Slug should check with the Mayor before it gets to late.

Kiyo Aki-jin
Kiyo sits and thinks. Ameiko doesn't know anything about either The Crescent Moon or The Rising Sun. He'd ventured here for nothing it would seem, but for an offer from the man called Sandru. His caravan needs help abd at least it's headed in the right direction. Far better to travel with a group than alone. Kiyo's neveer seen a caravan and so doesn't know what to expect, but from what he's heard of Ameiko they'll be in good hands. Kiyo sips his tea again and observes the patrons of the Rusty Dragon.
Kiyo appears to be a youth of Tian descent. he wears loose white silk breeeches and shirt covered by a long blue robe slitted at the sides. He carries little else except a light crossbow.

Shan returns from Magnimar after six days, and his magic sword is as good as new. He's so happy, and feels that he got the best of the deal even though his contribution was "less than stellar" in his own words. He presents each of you (Bug, Slug, Tara, Nico, Daer - Lorus is gone) with two gems, a Ruby and a small Sapphire (worth 500 and 100 gp respectively). He agrees to go along with the caravan, and asks about sleeping arrangements. Sandru says the wagons will be full, so the group will use tents. The tents fit three comfortably, so they'll have seven brought along, one for each wagon plus an extra. You can decide on the arrangement of yourselves, between Bug, Slug, Tara, Nico, Daer and Kiyo, though if Tara prefers to bunk with other women, that would be fine too.

Tara finds the armorsmith and, to her surprise, finds a suit of half plate that fits her. She finds it a little restrictive (+0 max dex bonus) and figures a set of banded mail works about as well.Of course, he tries to sell her the half plate.

Any luck on the better leather for Daergast?
Fair enough figured I should double check with dwarf sized armor. Wear is the shield located? Couldn't seem to locate it in ultimate combat.
