JACT Spring Assembly 002- First Scheduled Showing of the Regulars for Spring 2013!

Greetings JACT,

This Saturday, January 26th, we will have this weekly meeting at SLC 101D from 7:00-10:00 PM. The feature this week will be episodes 2-4 of Sakuraso no Pet na Kanjo and episode 2 of our regulars: Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!, Control: The Money and Soul of Possibility, and Nichijou. Please show up early so you don't get lost and remember! This meeting also marks the beginning of JACT selling Ramune, Hello Panda, Pocky! If you would like to buy some of these delicious goods, please bring money! We will be selling raffle tickets for one dollar too  in case you are feeling lucky and want to try to get these yummy treats for a lower price!

FEATURE

Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo

Plot Summary: Sorata is kicked out of his high-school dorms for keeping a cat, and moves into a small dorm called Sakurasou. It turns out that all the residents, in addition to being uncontrollable and weird, are outstanding in some way: a well-known animator, a scriptwriter, a programmer. A beautiful girl called Mashiro moves in who is an internationally known painter but is so devoted to art that she can't even dress herself, and Sorata is given the job of looking after her. Through her and the other residents, he learns who he is and what he wants to do.

REGULARS

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!:

Plot Summary:  High school freshman Yūta Togashi was once a "chūnibyō patient" i.e. an overly self-conscious middle schooler. He wants to bury this embarrassing past and begins a new life in high school—unsuccessfully. His classmate Rikka Takanashi, a "current" chūnibyō patient, has found traces of residual symptoms on him and used the fact to force Togashi "making a contract" with her.

Control: The Money and Soul of Possibilities:

Plot Summary: An American kid named Joey lives in an urban city & has always wanted to become a hero. Unfortunately he's just an orphan working part time to support his grandma and himself. After he watched a toy commercial on a new robot action figure, Joey believe he'll gain strength if he obtains one. The only robot toy he can get his hands on is a broken one that was abandon by a rich school bully. Feeling pity for the trashed action figure, Joey took it home to repair it. Little did he know, that once he repairs the toy, it'll make his hero dream become a reality.

Nichijou:

Plot Summary: The ordinary life of the peculiar students from class 1-Q and their odd acquaintances. While the title suggests a story of simple, everyday school life, the contents are more the opposite. The setting is a strange school where you may see the principal wrestle a deer or a robot's arm hide a rollcake. However there are still normal stories, like making a card castle or taking a test you didn't study for.
