How to create report from dumped classes using Intellij?

In the documentation on class ids, I found the following information regarding how to workaround issues over class modification...

Specify the classdumpdir option of the JaCoCo agent and use the dumped classes at report generation.

Can someone explain how to use the dumped classes at report generation using Intellij?  I have generated a jacoco.exec file and have created the dumped classes.

So, here's what I've done so far.  I have taken the dumped classes and merged them into the project->target->classes folder for my local project.  I then load the jacoco.exec into Intellij using Analyze->Show Coverage Data.  Coverage comes up as 0% for everything.  Any thoughts?
