jacoco for regression test, how to execute a remote call to the agent

I am following the steps here: https://github.com/Accenture/adop-cartridge-java/issues/12 to instrument my app (jar file) and run my regression test to get coverage results.

I am not clear on how to "execute a remote call to the agent" to either reset or dump the collected data in steps 2 and 4.

Examples? Pointers?

Have you tried to read official JaCoCo documentation at http://www.jacoco.org/jacoco/trunk/doc/ ?
