Hi Team,

How do I create and fetch the jacoco.exec file from micro services running on AWS? The tcpserver configuration for jacoco agent is working in my localhost, but I don't know how to implement the same for a micro service running on AWS. Can someone point me in the right direction please? I really don't know what to do

Thanks,
Kishore Mohanavelu

Hi,

please see the agent documentation for details: https://www.jacoco.org/jacoco/trunk/doc/agent.html

In particular:

  • The address option needs to specify a public interface of the server. By default JaCoCo only binds to the loopback interface and is not accessible from remote. Using “*” will bin to all interfaces.
  • Make sure your server and the JaCoCo agent port is not accessible from the public internet. Use private networks or ssh tunnels. Exposing JaCoCo agent tcpserver to the public internet can create serious security issues.

Cheers,
-marc
