I remember stories about the Jacob Heritage

My grandmother was a Basinger and she spoke "Pennsylvania Dutch". It
was wierd, when I was a kid, when she would break into it, but she
knew it and spoke it even though nobody around her could understand
what she was saying. She live in Lima, Ohio and used to tell stories
about the Hochstetler family. She was a God-fearing woman and she used
to talk about the fact that Jacob could have prevented the massacre
but didn't because he had such a stong belief in God. His belief would
not allow him to prevent violence with violence.

I guess those stories, from her, are the only ones I have now.
