Community news we wanted to share:

We are so proud of our Muslim Girls Scouts Troop 30342 for participating in "World thinking day" which is a Girl Scout event designed to build sisterhood amongst girls from different countries. The event of 200+ ppl was held at Vestal Middle School Friday February 19, 2016.

Our troop represented Pakistan & Muslims.

The Daisies (k-1graders -Sr.Mehreen's group) and Brownies (2-3graders -Sr.Halima's group )did the Ludi folk dance, Juniors (Sr.Sumeeta's group)displayed info about Pakistani culture with a great computer presentation and cadette & seniors (Sr.Romineh's group) explained and presented about Muslims and breaking stereotypes.

We also had snacks at our table. Our troop was specially recognized by the organizers, they said that it was nice to learn about Muslims and break the stereotypes that people have. It was an awesome outreach opportunity and we wanted to share it with you all in our community.

We were also in the news.
