JACK on OSX recent versions?

I just noticed that the JACK OSX site no longer exists, so it seems that the folks who had kindly ported JACK to OSX have given up that project, after several years of not having it compatible with recent OSX versions.

Chris, Juan Pablo, anyone here: Do you have any updates or ideas on this moving forward on jacktrip itself or its future dependency on JACK? Do we all need to get on Linux or will there be some solution for Mac users? I work with a lot of people who are much more likely to use jacktrip if there is a Mac solution, but I realize it's a drag on the developer side to support an additional OS.

We've had success over the Summer with OSX 10.11 - 10.13 using this incantation: (jack and jacktrip)

jack OSX:

https://github.com/jackaudio/jackaudio.github.com/releases/download/1.9.11/JackOSX.0.92_b3.zip

jacktrip:

https://ccrma.stanford.edu/software/jacktrip/osx/JackTrip.pkg

1) Install the above

2) start jackpilot with desired soundcard, srate, buffer size

3) start qjackctl with core audio

4) start jacktrip (server or client)

Please give a shout if anything goes awry. A number of new participants coming online next week in classes.

jacktrip runs under the hood of artsmesh - runs on both ipv4 and ipv6.
