Hi all,
I may have some promising news. I was at Children's specialized
today. They READ the article and want to help!! They do have
openings, but they are in the middle of the day, 10:00am, 1:00pm. The
problem is because ALL parents haven't been notified and do not
realize how critical the situation is, they may not be willing to
help. If we could APPEAL to the halfday preschool parents who are not
working, to take their children their before or after school to
children's specialized. And yes I do know it's a treck, but we must
be willing to work together and make concessions to restore services.
If we can do this, than some of the older children who have been going
without services for prolonged periods can start to regain service.
The problem is reaching these parents. PLEASE come to Wednesday
night's meeting and bring anyone you know who can benefit. If you
take the time to get to know what we are about rather than make
assumptions, yourself you will find we are NOT on a cruisade. And we
have much too offer. Please spread the word. I believe this will be
presented at tomorrow's SEAC meeting!
One more item about administration communications, they are NOT
reaching all the people on the sign list. We have people in our group
who DID NOT recieve Friday's update. All we are doing is trying to
help facilitate the plan of action to make sure this does not happen
again, Mr. Gialanella said we would avoid another crisis with better
communicaion. WE must be an essetial part of opening the lines of
communication.
