Jackson 3.1.0 (LTS) released -- upgrade from 3.0.x STRONGLY recommended

Ok, so, Jackson 3.1.0 was released yesterday. This is a BIG "minor" version upgrade with over 140 (!) changes: mostly fixes but some new/extended functionality as well.

Perhaps most importantly, some minor changes to 3.0.x behavior and defaults were made, to correct minor flaws -- trying to fully finalize expected baseline for the rest of the 3.x series.

With that in mind, upgrading from 3.0.x versions is strongly recommended.

3.1 is also the first Long-Term Support version for 3.x; 3.0.x branch is now closed (no more 3.0.x patch releases)

ps. Patches 2.18.6 and 2.21.1 were also recently released -- 2.18 and 2.21 are LTS versions for 2.x. Branches < 2.18, 2.19 and 2.20 are now closed (no more patch releases)
