Hey All, the weather has killed my riding this week, how about you? Had to
use my stationary (yuck) trainer! Anyway, last evening as I was reaching
the TCA parking lot at 5:00PM the rain dumped, just enough to ruin the
possibility for a ride that I, and I'm sure a few others were so looking
forward to. Maybe some did ride anyway, I don't know. I hot footed it back
to the house.

But that got me to thinking and checking the weather this morning. It looks
like it may still be raining this Saturday morning, if not I'm sure we'll
all meet up at Pope School at 7:00AM. But IF it is raining do we want to
plan an alternative ride? Say 3:00PM on Saturday afternoon or something
like that? The forecast says it will be partly cloudy beginning around
1:00PM, and there is only a 30% chance of a t-storm or any precipitation
that whole day.

So, what d'ya say? Anybody up for an afternoon ride if it rains Saturday
morning?

Dave

Looks like JWarm, Jamie and Gordon are the three that responded to my
suggestion. So, if it's raining tomorrow in the AM I'll see you three (and
any others who want to come) at the Pope School parking lot at 3:00PM.
Otherwise hope to see y'all in the AM at the same place. Dave

Hey All! Just got a look outside, really wet. Checked the radar, big storm
passing by to our east but could catch us like the one on Thursday night.
So, definitely riding at 3:00PM this afternoon from Pope School and not this
morning. Want to ride when I can enjoy it and not worry about the weather.
Hope to see a bunch of you there! Dave

Thanks David, and no problem because at 3:00PM there was only blue skys and NO drizzle for a GREAT ride!  A couple of us (thanks Gordon) did 43 miles to Alamo and back.  The back was especially nice since we had a good tail wind.

Later, IH-YS, Dave

Didn't see any responses to this. Might be good for us to support it since
we use their parking lot and toilet facilities regularly. Anybody going?
Today is the 'dead line' to register and get the T-shirt. Dave

Richard, thanks for the web site address, just registered.  And, we NEED to ENCOURAGE ALL of the guys and gals that ride on Tuesday and Thursday evenings to support this event.  We use their facilities (parking and toilets) every week during the riding season, and this is a great way to show our appreciation.  Lots of different things to do, family friendly as well as having a 26K race.  Come on guys!  Later, Dave

Thanks Craig.  I saw that Tour de Reelfoot is Nov 7 this year.  Several of us went to Tiptonville for this ride a couple of years ago when it was scorching hot in August.  Early November should be nice.  This is way flatter than the Clarksville Century without the sub 4-hr pace.  They have added a full century this year too.
