Jackson County ARES members:

The Jackson County ARES voice net normally meets on 146.970 MHz. repeater on Saturdays at 0900 local time. For the net on Saturday, April 7 there will be a frequency change. Here's why… That WØWJB repeater had to be repaired and is not expected to return to the air in time for the net this Saturday. The detail is that the duplexer was not operating to specification and had to be removed. It is hoped the repeater will return to the air in a week and the net next week can return to its usual frequency.
For the Saturday, 7 April Jackson County ARES voice net we will attempt to use the WØWJB UHF repeater. That repeater is on 443.175 MHz. with the standard 5 MHz.  positive offset. The repeater is carrier accessed -- no tone required. We thank Bill Brunkhardt for the use of this brand new UHF and VHF repeaters for ARES activities. The net on the UHF repeater will be a timely opportunity to test your ability to access that repeater and will give Bill the opportunity to get coverage information on this new repeater.
