The Lost Child services are provided in partnership with the City of Independence Chambers of Commerce, Independence Fire, Independence Police, Eastern Jackson County Offices of Emergency Management, Independence Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and the Eastern Jackson County Emergency Communications Service group (EJCECS). Net control & ground operations will use a dedicated public safety frequency for all operations. Public Safety Radios will be provided to all radio operators participating at the event. Amateur Radio Operators are asked to bring their HTs and an extra battery. In the event that the primary Public Safety Radio goes off-line or fails to meet the event needs, all radio operations will be switched over to ham radio. A list of frequencies will be provided in the event we switch radio operations to ham radio.
