Dear JAG Members,

 

Attached for your information are Vince Taylor's notes from the March 1 Board of Forestry and Fire Protection Management Committee meeting.

 

Also, with respect to the item I sent to you earlier today, "Questions for the Board members' consideration, written by Board staff," Board staff wanted to make the following point:

 

Just so there is no misunderstanding going forward, the Committee is not seeking the JAG’s responses to the questions provided at the Committee meeting last week. Those questions were purely intended to frame the Committee’s initial discussion of the JAG Report and to generate focused Committee/Board inquiry into the JAG’s recommendations. Staff wants to make certain that the entire JAG Membership understands this point . The JAG’s work is done for the time being and it is important that the Committee/Board have the opportunity now to do their respective jobs in evaluating the JAG’s recommendations. If specific questions arise for which the Committee/Board would like a response from JAG, we will let you know.
