JDSF Advisory Group Releases Major Report

Dear Persons Interested in Jackson Demonstration State Forest:

 

The JDSF Advisory Group recently completed its report on recommended changes to the 2008 JDSF Management Plan.  This report to the California Board of Forestry and Fire Protection and the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection is now posted on the CAL FIRE website as a 4 MB PDF:  http://www.fire.ca.gov/resource_mgt/downloads/Final_JAG_Report_January2011.pdf

 

The Advisory Group was charged with developing these recommendations as a part of its Charter.  The Advisory Group worked diligently for two and a half years to produce this report.  CAL FIRE is grateful to the Advisory Group for its dedication and hard work.

 

The Advisory Group will present its report to the Board of Forestry and Fire Protection at the Board's February 2 meeting in Sacramento.  The agenda for the Board meeting is available via the Board's website: http://www.bof.fire.ca.gov/board_business/meeting_agendas/2011_board_meeting_agendas/finalagendafeb_11.pdf  The public is welcome to attend the Board meeting and provide comments on the Advisory Group's report.
