Hi Champions,

I have recently help a household to request for the sale of their HDB flat before MOP due to divorce. Here is a sample which i have assist them to type out to email HDB which you can use as reference.

To Whom it may concern,

I am Nelson Ho X X Nric S1234567B & Vania XX NRIC S1234567b of Blk XXX Boon Lay #01-xx (S) 123456.

Hereby wish to wish to request for my abovementioned property to be sell in the open market, as we are facing a problem in our marriage and is going on a process of divorce.

We understand that we are giving two option from HDB to resolve our issue of the abovementioned property.

1) To buy of the share of the spouse

2) To return back to HDB at 95% of purchase price

But after sorting out, both of us do not have the financial to make choices on either option.

We are hoping that HDB can allow us to sell our unit in the open market as we really need the finances to provide a shelter for our daughter.

I also understand that i will consider as a 2nd timer if i were to purchase the next HDB unit from HDB directly and is subject to pay resale levy.

I am hoping to seek your approval asap as we need a confirmation from HDB to process our divorce.
