Their story prompted Rockstar to take action, with the publisher implementing a transfer feature that saw RDO players' resources and XP linked to Rockstar Social Accounts from where they could be accessed on other platforms. A happy ending, which is not something one can usually say about the Red Dead Redemption games.

The Elder Scrolls Online has a lot of achievements, to put it lightly. We're talking over 1,000 in the base game and hundreds per DLC, amounting to 59,465 points. I've played for nine years, with around 2,000 hours, and amassed 17,000 points, and I'm barely scratching the surface. ch3m_gaming has gone much, much further.

"I finally completed 100 percent achievements," they posted to the game's subreddit. But they're not done yet, even after 18,000 hours of playtime. "Im chasing the goal of achieving a 'true 100 percent playthrough' of the entire game, achievements are only a part of that. I also have 100 percent stickerbook, furnishing plans, recipes, book library, motifs, 3600 CP, and so on."

To put it into perspective, 18,000 hours is equal to just over two years. Granted, ESO came out in early 2014, so that's only two out of nearly ten years... right? Not exactly. ch3m_gaming got into the game on PlayStation with the Summerset expansion in 2018, meaning that over the past five years, they spent two years playing ESO. Maybe 100 percenting this goliath MMO isn't the most realistic goal, eh?

According to ch3m_gaming, on their server, they're the second player to achieve this, but the other completionist did it during Blackwood and High Isle, not Necrom. Each chapter adds more achievements so, inevitably, that 100 percent will trickle back down, leaving more for players to do.

In 2019, authorities restricted minors to playing 90 minutes a day on weekdays and banned them from playing between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. In 2021, they issued even harsher restrictions: Minors are allowed to play online games for only an hour a day and only on Fridays, weekends and public holidays. Game approvals were halted for eight months.

Already the best in the world, Scottie Scheffler added another layer to his legend Sunday. He became the first player to win back-to-back in 50 years of THE PLAYERS Championship by matching the biggest comeback and the lowest closing round by a winner.

Now, one Red Dead Online player called Fuwih has shared quite an incredible milestone: they achieved Rank 1000 in the Western adventure after playing for more than 9200 hours. To highlight how much time this is, this title was released around five years ago, and it would take someone playing for over five hours every single day to reach this mark. According to Fuwih, they achieved everything possible within Red Dead Online, owning the Platinum Trophy and every single limited edition piece of clothing.

In the Reddit post, Fuwih explained how they managed to get so far in the game. The secret, they believe, is to always play with friends. Fuwih only engaged with the online title accompanied by the same group of friends every day to achieve this level, stating they thought it would be impossible to just grind so many levels alone without quitting due to boredom. During this time, they engaged in Red Dead Online activities like wagon sales, showdowns, calls to arms, finding all possible collectibles, PvP, and free roam missions, for example. Another reason why Fuwih was able to achieve such a difficult feat is that they simply did not spend time with other games. Fuwih claimed they only played Red Dead Online this year, with Elden Ring being the only other game they tried last year.

Fortunately for Red Dead Online players, Rockstar has not abandoned the title just yet, despite greatly slowing down on updates recently and focusing more on GTA Online instead. Back in August, Rockstar added 3 new missions to Read Dead Online, called Hostage to Fortune, The Bell Tolls, and Trial & Tribulation. These were pretty varied missions that had players guarding trains, searching for witnesses in court cases, and saving families that were taken hostages by bandits. Hopefully, the new missions will give players more content to play.

Playing video games has become a popular activity for people of all ages. Video gaming is a multibillion-dollar industry bringing in more money than movies and DVDs. On average, girls spend more than an hour per day playing video games and boys spend more than two hours. Teens often spend even more time than younger children. Video games have become very sophisticated and realistic. Some games connect to the internet, which can allow children and adolescents to play games and have discussions with unknown adults and peers.

Chinese state media reported that about 63 percent of Chinese minors play online games often. And about 13 percent of underage mobile game users are believed to play them for more than two hours a day on weekdays.

Chinese technology company Tencent Holdings took the first step to restrict online gaming for young people in 2017. It limited playing time for some young users of its popular game Honor of Kings. The move came after concerns from parents and teachers that children were becoming addicted to the game.

The first government restrictions followed in 2019. Those rules limited minors to one hour and a half of gaming time a day and three hours on weekends. The policy also limited the amount of money minors could spend on virtual items in gaming each month. The limit ranged from $28 to $57, depending on the age of the gamer.

The NPPA said online gaming companies will now have to prove they have effective identification systems in place. The number and intensity of inspections will also be increased to make sure they follow the new limits. The agency said it will also increase measures to punish gaming companies that violate the rules.

"My daughter is glued to her phone after dinner every day for one to two hours and it's difficult for me or her mother to stop her," Li said. "We told her it's bad for her eyes and it's a waste of her time, but she won't listen," he added.

On Monday, April 10, 2023, a Notice of Retraction and Replacement published for the article featured below. The key findings remain the same. The press release has been updated, in line with the retracted and replacement article, to clarify that attention problems, depression symptoms, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) scores were significantly higher among children who played three hours per day or more compared to children who had never played video games.

A study of nearly 2,000 children found that those who reported playing video games for three hours per day or more performed better on cognitive skills tests involving impulse control and working memory compared to children who had never played video games. Published today in JAMA Network Open, this study analyzed data from the ongoing Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study, which is supported by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and other entities of the National Institutes of Health.
