Euro Truck Simulator 2: 1.47 Open Beta with New Trailers and Cities

Euro Truck Simulator 2, the popular truck driving simulation game from SCS Software, has recently launched its 1.47 Open Beta branch for players to test out the latest features and improvements. The update brings new ownable trailers, reworked cities in Germany, and various bug fixes and optimizations.

Ownable Gas Cisterns and Livestock Trailers

One of the highlights of the 1.47 update is the addition of two new types of ownable trailers: gas cisterns and livestock trailers. Gas cisterns are designed to transport dangerous and highly flammable gases such as ethane, propane, and LPG. They come in different lengths, chassis, and customization options, including paintable boxes, valve boxes, fire extinguishers, hoses, and more.

Livestock trailers are another new feature that allows players to transport cattle in their own trailers. Germany Rework

The 1.47 update also continues the Revisiting Germany project, which aims to update one of the oldest map sections of the base game to align with the current development standards. In this update, four cities in Germany have been completely reworked: Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Nurnberg, and Erfurt. These cities now feature new landmarks, road networks, industries, and more details that make them more realistic and immersive.

The Revisiting Germany project is still ongoing and will cover more areas of Germany in the future updates. SCS Software has also hinted at some upcoming map expansions for Euro Truck Simulator 2, such as Balkans and Iberia.
