hi all,

i have a lot less time this holidays than i anticipated. as you might
have noticed, i did not tag any 1.1 alpha or beta yet. there are a lot
of interesting things going on with many of the bundles atm, which
makes it even harder to cut the release.

i now started at least to define 1.1 milestones for phpcr-utils,
jackalope and phpcr-odm. except for the odm, its only a small amount
of issues.
https://github.com/phpcr/phpcr-utils/issues?milestone=2&page=1&state=open
https://github.com/jackalope/jackalope/issues?milestone=2&page=1&state=open
https://github.com/jackalope/jackalope-jackrabbit/issues?milestone=2&page=1&state=open
https://github.com/jackalope/jackalope-doctrine-dbal/issues?milestone=2&page=1&state=open
(there are more potentially small things that could be done, and some
of these are not really blockers)

on phpcr-odm, i found quite a bunch of things, but i guess we can also
leave some aside
https://github.com/doctrine/phpcr-odm/issues?milestone=2&page=1&state=open

i will be quite offline for the next week, don't expect much feedback
from me. it would be great if somebody (lukas?) could tag RC1
candidates on jackalope/phpcr-utils once we get there, and in january
we can attack the cmf bundles and hopefully soon tag everything stable.

cheers,david

I have finished the CLI helper refactoring and some other small stuff. Didn’t get around to doing any releases though :-/

everything seems to be completed here.

hi,

good news: i just tagged 1.1.0 of phpcr-utils, jackalope,
jackalope-jackrabbit and jackalope-doctrine-dbal. (phpcr has seen no
single change since we tagged 2.1.0)
jackalope-doctrine-dbal and phpcr-utils have a couple of known bugs,
but nothing blocking. if somebody wants to fix them, that would be
great of course [1] [2].

what is in this release 1.1.0?

there are no revolutionary changes or huge new additions, but a lot of
cleanups and features that where implemented. most notably, you can
use logging to see what queries are run and optimize your application.
we implemented all aspects of fetchDepth to preload nodes when the
user tells us so. jackalope-doctrine-dbal also does more validation
than it did before.

doctrine phpcr-odm

for phpcr-odm, we tackled most of the remaining issues, with a few
blockers remaining. help would really be appreciated to get this
finished. if somebody could pick up the annotation definition cleanup
[3] or the id strategy bug [4] or help finishing queries for child
translation strategy [5] that would be awesome.

the phpcr symfony bundle also has a bunch of open issues [6] that need
to be tackled, mainly unifying the 3 pull requests for
DocumentType::getLoader.

cheers,david
