Hello, today i took a few screenshots on my realme 6 phone and when i tried to open them in gallery app it just crashes but it doesnt just crash on those screenshots but on all photos, i tried opening the pics in google gallery and same thing. Any help would be appriciated.
Hello! A few months ago, I discovered that all photos are deleted by themselves, while they are synchronized in Google Photos. When I search for the same photos in recently deleted photos - I can't find them. Previously, screenshots were not deleted from my gallery, but they were not synchronized to Google Photos. Now even screenshots are removed from my gallery. Absolutely all photos are not deleted immediately after I take them, but after a week or two.
Media Storage is a system utility that handles certain tasks related to the media files on your phone. When you have trouble deleting photos from your gallery, it is a good idea to clear the storage and cache for this utility.
If you use it as an offline gallery app without storing the photos in its cloud service, you will see a single delete button. But if the backup is enabled for Google Photos or other cloud storage service, then you will have two ways to delete photos.
To disable that, go to Settings on your phone followed by Accounts. Tap on your cloud account. You will see various items that are currently syncing. If photos or gallery is enabled, disable it. Then, delete your photo. That will completely remove all kinds of sync with that cloud service from your phone.
To do so, open Settings > Apps. Tap on your gallery app. If the Uninstall button is present, tap on it, else, tap on the three-dot icon at the top, and select Uninstall updates. Once uninstalled, restart the phone. Then, install it again from the Play Store.
