Hi,

After installing jabbify on my blog (blog.mycila.com) i wanted to show
it at my job to see how it could be reused. Unfortunately, as we
browse the internet through a proxy server (http proxy server) not
allowing the CONNECT command, Jabbify does not seem to send and
receive anything.

If we want to see the new messages, i have to refresh the page.

Does your work network block nonstandard ports?  Jabbify runs on port 8444, which some work networks have blocked.

Hi,

Yes i've juste saw that through FireBug. The rpoxy does not allow
connections to non standard ports, so this request fail:

http://cometr3rhxz.jabbify.com:8444/message?[...]

Since it's the case for most of all proxy servers in companies, do you
think it would be possible to change this port for a standard port ?
443 ou 80, or make an apache rewriting rule, as described in the
documentation ?

Thank you for your fast response !
