Comet service not working

I'm using the Jabbify Comet service for bidirectional communication
between the client and server. This seems to be broken right now, at
least for me.

In an attempt to troubleshoot, I tried to run the Get Started example
at http://wiki.jabbify.com/index.php?title=Get_Started_with_Jabbify_Comet_Service
(both from the filesystem, and a registered domain) - and Safari is
unable to connect to the cometXXXXXX.jabbify.com:8444 host in both
instances.

Has the Comet service changed? Should I be using something other than
http://jabbify.com/downloads/jabbify.js?

Hi Vitaly,

The comet service has changed.  We rolled out a new version last week.  I have been planning to blog about it and update the docs but have been busy fixing production related bugs and performance issues for the new version.  The new API is more flexible and lets you do more things like subscribing to channels within a domain.  You can check the client out from subversion and take a look at the code for now, until we update those docs:
