How to use Jabbify with external messenger client (spark, gtalk, pidgin, etc)

Hello, I frequent a website that uses jabbify chat, and myself (and
many of the users) would like to be able to go back and read the chat,
and also log it.
It seems my computer is prone to browser crashes. Many times I've
started to reread the Jabbify chat, and lost all the info from a
crash.
I've read you can setup a client (spark, google talk, pidgin) to log
the chat, however cannot find instructions on how to do so. I may be
able to get the support of the webmaster if I need information or
permissions from him.
